Shipping Policy – Aussie Coastal Containers

Aussie Coastal Containers, we are committed to providing efficient and reliable delivery of your shipping containers across Australia. Due to the nature, size, and weight of our products, our shipping process differs from standard parcel delivery. Please read our shipping policy carefully to understand how your order will be delivered.
1. General Shipping Information
* Service Areas: We deliver containers Australia-wide. Please note that remote and regional areas may incur additional charges and extended delivery times.
* Delivery Method: All containers are delivered via specialised heavy haulage transport (e.g., tilt tray, side loader, Hiab crane). We do not use standard courier services for container delivery.
* Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery location is accessible for heavy vehicles and that there is sufficient clear space for offloading the container. Any additional costs incurred due to inaccessible sites or unforeseen complications at the delivery location (e.g., needing a larger crane, multiple attempts) will be charged to the customer. Please contact us in advance if you have any concerns about site access.
* Delivery Times: Delivery times are estimates and subject to factors such as availability of transport, weather conditions, road restrictions, and unforeseen delays. We will always endeavour to keep you informed of your delivery status.

2. Shipping Costs

Due to the varying sizes of containers, delivery locations, and specific offloading requirements, shipping costs for containers are calculated on a case-by-case basis.
* Quotation-Based Shipping: Shipping costs are not automatically calculated at checkout. Instead, they are determined after you provide your delivery address and specific requirements.
* How to Get a Shipping Quote:
* Online Enquiry: Please use our online enquiry form, providing your desired container type, size, and full delivery address.
* Phone Number/Email Address: Contact our sales team directly at 0485 935 574/ or sales@aussiecoastalcontainers.com for a personalised quote.
* Inclusion in Product Price (if applicable): There is a $400 flat rate shipping fee for all shipping nationwide.

3. Delivery Timeframes (Estimated)

* Processing Time: Once your order is confirmed and payment is received, allow 2-6 hours for order processing and transport arrangement. This includes confirming delivery logistics and scheduling.
* Transit Time: Transit times vary significantly based on your delivery location.
* Regional Deliveries: Estimated 7-14 business days from dispatch.
* Remote/Interstate Deliveries: Estimated 2-5 business days from dispatch, or longer for very remote locations.
* Total Estimated Delivery Time: Please allow a total of 5-10 business days from the date of order confirmation for your container to arrive, depending on your location. We will provide a more accurate estimate when you receive your shipping quote.
* Business Days: Our business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

4. Delivery Process and Considerations

* Scheduling: Once your order is ready for dispatch, our transport team will contact you to confirm a suitable delivery date and time window.
* Offloading:
* Tilt Tray: Requires sufficient clear, level, and firm ground for the truck to reverse and tilt the container off.
* Side Loader: Ideal for offloading in tighter spaces as it can offload containers from the side of the truck. Requires similar clear, level, and firm ground.
* Hiab Crane: Used for lifting containers over obstacles or onto elevated positions. Requires clear overhead space and a stable lifting area.
* If you are unsure which method is suitable for your site, please discuss this with our sales team when requesting a quote.
* Site Preparation: Ensure the delivery site is clear of obstacles, debris, and overhead power lines or trees that could obstruct the offloading process.
* Receiving the Container: An authorised person must be present at the delivery location to inspect the container and sign for its receipt.
* Failed Delivery: If a delivery fails due to inaccessible site, customer not being present, or any other reason beyond our control, additional redelivery charges will apply.

5. Order Tracking

Due to the nature of specialised heavy haulage, real-time tracking like parcel services is not always available. However, we will provide updates on your container’s journey:
* You will receive confirmation once your order is dispatched.
* Our transport team will contact you directly to confirm delivery scheduling.

6. Damages and Issues

* Inspection upon Delivery: Please inspect your container thoroughly upon delivery before signing the delivery docket.
* Reporting Damages: Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery docket and reported to Aussie Coastal Containers immediately (within 24 hours of delivery) by contacting 0485 935 574 or sales@aussiecoastalcontainers.com. Please include photographic evidence of the damage.
* We cannot be held responsible for damages reported after the container has been signed for without noted damage or after 24 hours of delivery.
